The O’Connell Family are delighted to welcome you to Annabeg Nursing Home.

When you walk through the door of Annabeg Nursing home you will immediately sense the warmth and homely atmosphere that can only come from a family run home.  We believe that our residents live in an environment where they feel loved and “at home” while also feeling safe and secure.

Annabeg was the dream of Joan, a nurse, and her husband William O’Connell who first fell in love with the old farmhouse and its grounds in 1986.  Now run by their children, Brendan, Miriam and Barry O’Connell, Annabeg has been lovingly extended and refurbished to provide a home to 41 residents.

Our residents, their families and visitors appreciate that the small, friendly and traditional style of Annabeg has benefits far and beyond the homely atmosphere.  As we have a relatively small number of residents, we are able to ensure that strong relationships are built between all our staff and our residents.  Our days are never boring as our full time co-ordinator ensures that our residents enjoy full and stimulating activities every day, with plenty of day trips.
Annabeg itself has a cosy feel, with lots of places to sit and relax with no large common room.  We have two different sitting rooms, a snug, a sunroom and a dining room.  Our family room provides a quiet space where you can make tea and coffee and can be a place for families to sleep if needed.  Our state of the art bedrooms have wet room en-suite facilities, electronic beds, satellite television and radio and of course an on call nurse bell.

The home is convenient to the DART at Killiney, the Luas at Cherrywood, bus connections and Loughlinstown Hospital.

Serving Dun Laoghaire, Killiney, Ballybrack, Shankill, Loughlinstown, Bray, Carrickmines, Stillorgan, Dalkey and Blackrock, Annabeg NursingHome has been owned and run by the O'Connell family since 1986.
